Biografi

Born in Jakarta on November 5, 1956. Her elementary school, middle school and high school education was in Jakarta. Entered the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Indonesia, class of 1976 and graduated as a dentist in August 1981. After graduating, she was recruited to become teaching staff at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Indonesia (FKG UI), placed in the Radiology department. Had the opportunity to study modern diagnostic imaging at Kyushu University-Japan. She is the initiator and one of the founders of the Indonesian Dental Radiology Association (IKARGI), and serving as chairperson for several periods.

In 2002, she graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Universitas Indonesia with research that resulted in intellectual property rights which pioneered a formulation to equate the results of calculating changes in conventional radiographic images with digital radiographic images, since at that time the availability of digital radiology equipment in Indonesia was still very limited. Her research is then consistent with the DMFR field focusing on the quality and quantity of bone, not only in the scope of dentistry but in relation to general condition as well.

In 2007 she was inaugurated as a Professor of Dento-Maxillo Facial Radiology (DMFR) and the first female Professor in the field in Indonesia. In collaboration with the National Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (Bapeten), together with members of the Association of DMFR in Indonesia, she is developing the DMFR field in Indonesia with benchmarking on its development in the Asian region and the global world. Various writings on this field were produced throughout her career as a lecturer at FKG-UI. Currently she is trusted as Chairperson of the Indonesian DMFR Collegium with the main task of developing the science of DMFR in Indonesia. National and international awards in scientific development, with 10 years of service in the field of academic quality at the University of Indonesia as chairperson of the UI Academic Quality Assurance Board, and at the Asian regional level as an assessor for the Asean University Network, added to the 42 years of her service.
