Master of Community Dentistry

The Master’s Program in Community Dentistry (IKGKom), Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Indonesia is a branch of dentistry that focuses on the prevention and control of dental diseases and the improvement of oral health through the empowerment of individuals, families, and communities. This program was accredited “A” by LAM-PTKes in 2018. Graduates of this program will earn the Master of Health (M.Kes) degree.

Graduate Profile

Graduates of the Master’s Program in Community Dentistry FKG UI are expected to be able to develop expertise in community dental health based on research, policy, and empowerment. Graduate competencies include the following abilities.

  • Formulating dental health service policies and management using promotive, preventive, and community development approaches.
  • Conducting research that is recognized both nationally and internationally.

Registration Requirements

Prospective program participants are expected to meet the following academic and administrative requirements. The requirements are as follows.

  • Pass the SIMAK UI selection exam, which includes the Academic Potential Test and English with a minimum score of 500.
  • Have an educational background as a dentist, or a bachelor’s degree from other health science clusters from accredited public/private universities or overseas (with legalization from the Ministry of Education and Culture).
  • Have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00.
