Dr. drg. Dimas Ilham Hutomo, Sp.Perio(K)

Dr. drg. Dimas Ilham Hutomo, Sp.Perio, Subsp.RPID(K). is a permanent lecturer in the Department of Periodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Indonesia. He completed his Periodontics Specialist education at FKG UI in 2018 and continued to the Subspecialty level in Periodontal Reconstruction and Dental Implants, which he completed in 2022 through the Indonesian College of Periodontics. In 2024, he earned his Doctoral degree in Dental Science from FKG UI, with research focusing on hydrogel-based biomaterials for gingival tissue regeneration.

Since 2018, drg. Dimas has been actively involved as a teaching staff member at FKG UI and was appointed as a permanent lecturer in 2021. He is involved in educational activities at various levels, including undergraduate (pre-clinical), dental professional programs, and the Periodontics Specialist education program. His active involvement in teaching is also accompanied by scientific contributions through SCOPUS-indexed publications in the field of periodontics and implantology.

With expertise in periodontal and peri-implant soft tissue reconstruction, he has a particular interest in regenerative approaches based on modern biomaterials. His current research projects focus on:
– Periodontal and peri-implant soft tissue reconstruction.
– Development and application of hydrogels as regenerative agents.
– Application of evidence-based therapy in clinical periodontics and implantology.

In addition to academic and research activities, he is also active in professional organizations, specifically as a daily executive board member of the Indonesian Periodontics Association (IPERI) Central. He regularly participates in scientific seminars and conferences at both national and international levels, as both an attendee and a speaker.
