The Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Indonesia (FKG UI) is again presenting innovations in the field of education by developing a web-based Information System that will support various dental examinations, which is currently in the process of filing for Copyright.<\/p>\n

This system is designed, among others, to support the implementation of OSCE, which is part of a comprehensive examination in a series of final examinations for dental education. OSCE itself is one of the main evaluation methods to measure students’ overall clinical competence. Through this digital system, the entire exam process – from managing participants, questions, to assessment and feedback – can be integrated in one platform. <\/p>\n

The development of this system was initiated and developed by FKG UI tendik staff, as part of an effort to improve the quality of technology-based exam governance in the faculty.<\/p>\n

Previously, the implementation of OSCE was still mostly done manually, which often required a long administrative process and risked errors in assessment and score recapitulation. With this system, the process becomes more practical, fast, and accurate. <\/p>\n

Through this platform, examiners can directly give real-time assessments at each exam station, while the score results can be recapitulated automatically. In addition, the system also allows for more organized and well-documented exam data management. <\/p>\n

The development of this system is also designed to be flexible and can be used for various needs, including the implementation of multiple exam sessions at one time and supporting cross-institutional collaboration.<\/p>\n

Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Indonesia, Prof. drg. Lisa Rinanda Amir, Ph.D., PBO, said that this innovation is part of FKG UI’s commitment in presenting digital transformation in the field of dental education. <\/p>\n

“This innovation is a real step in encouraging a more modern, efficient, and accountable learning and evaluation system. We hope this system will not only benefit FKG UI, but also contribute more broadly to the development of dental education in Indonesia,” he said.<\/p>\n

FKG UI emphasizes its commitment to continue to produce innovations that are relevant to technological developments, while strengthening the institution’s role in developing adaptive and globally competitive education.<\/p>\n
