Doctoral Program in Dental Science

The Doctoral Program in Dental Science, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Indonesia, prepares students to be able to develop and apply dental science and technology effectively and efficiently. This program aims to discover novelties from cutting-edge (state-of-the-art) developments in specific research areas to create innovative works in dental science and technology and publish them in accredited international journals.

Vision

To become a center for doctoral education in dental science that produces human resources with integrity, broad perspectives, and the ability to actively participate in global scientific discourse, striving to be a leader in Southeast Asia. This study program has been accredited “A” by LAM-PTKes.

General Requirements

  • Prospective program participants are expected to meet the following academic and administrative requirements.
  • Hold a master’s degree from a state/private university in Indonesia or abroad recognized by DIKTI
  • Have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00
  • Pass the SIMAK UI selection, which includes the Academic Potential Test (TPA) and English Language test
  • Pass the interview stage
  • Submit a pre-research proposal according to the format determined by the FKG UI Doctoral Program

Additional Requirements (Research Track)

  • Have two independent scientific works as lead author published in Scopus-indexed international journals (minimum Q4) within the last 3 years
  • Attach a list of research track records

This doctoral program has two tracks: Course & Research Track and Research Track, each with a total study load of 42 SKS (credits).

Pre-Research Proposal Preparation Training (PPUP)
